Sevilla fullback Alex Telles: The players believe in Mendilibar

Sevilla fullback Alex Telles says coach Jose Luis Mendilibar has the full confidence of the players.

Mendilibar has led Sevilla away from the dropzone and into the Europa League final since replacing Jorge Sampaoli.

Telles said, "The secret is to talk little and work hard. We know the quality of our squad, but sometimes things happen in football that we can't explain. We've always worked, but when Mendilibar arrived, we mentally believe in him more and everything changes when the results arrive."

On facing Roma in the Europa League final, he told Radio Marca: "It's the most important match of the season, both teams have worked hard to get there. We know our responsibilities, we are Sevilla, which is the team that has won the most times in this tournament.

"It will be difficult, we will meet an opponent who has a history and Finals are often decided by the details. We have to be ready for that."
