Raiders player has Chiefs game circled on his calendar for much different reasons than the rivalry
Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

The Kansas City Chiefs are no strangers to Kansas City natives playing in the NFL. They have one of their own in Felix Anudike-Uzomah, who is from the metro area. The metro area has produced some great athletes over the years, many of whom have played in the NFL.

When they play the Las Vegas Raiders, their biggest division rival, they will be playing a kid who is from Kansas City, so that game will mean just that much more to him.

During a video shoot, the Raiders asked their players which game was circled on their calendar. Cornerback Sam Webb's answer was immediate and heartfelt: The Chiefs game.

"What game is circled on your calendar," Webb read aloud. "You already know I'm from Kansas City, Missouri. I'm from there, so you know that is circled twice."

Webb was born in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and played college football at Missouri Western State University, where the Chiefs hold their annual training camp and have every year under Andy Reid.

So, I'm sure there is a possibility he grew up rooting for the Chiefs. But, now he is a Raider, and now he is the enemy. He likely has family who are Chiefs fans, which is probably another reason he circled the game.

In weeks 8 and 13, Webb will have the chance to play the Chiefs.
