On Tuesday evening, the San Antonio Spurs will face off against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies in Tennessee.
Before the game (on Monday), the team announced that they had signed Mamadi Diakite to a two-way contract.
Via The Spurs on Monday: "The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have signed forward Mamadi Diakite (MAH-mah-dee dee-ah-KEE-tay) to a Two-Way contract. Per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed."

Diakite has yet to play in an NBA game so far this season and is coming off a year where he appeared in 22 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He averaged 2.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 48.0% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

The 26-year-old has played three seasons in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers.
He was a member of the Bucks when they won the 2021 NBA Championship over Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns.
His career averages are 3.2 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.4% from the field and 23.5% from the three-point range in 49 games.

As for the Spurs, they are the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with a 5-27 record in their first 32 games.
They are 2-8 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
Following the Grizzlies, the Spurs will return home to host Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday evening in San Antonio, Texas.
