Former NBA Head Coach Predicts The Boston Celtics Will Only 'Lose 2 Games' in Incredibly Powerful Claim Ahead of the Playoffs
Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

Despite embarrassingly losing to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday, the Boston Celtics remain one of the top teams in the NBA, which they have shown throughout the 2023-24 regular season.

The Boston Celtics have made deep runs to the playoffs in recent years, but they have no championships to show for it. But with the offseason additions of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday and the fact that the team is coming along well under head coach Joe Mazzulla, many believe this might finally be the year they will win it all.

One of those people who believes is former NBA Coach of the Year and current NBA TV analyst Sam Mitchell, as he said recently that the Boston Celtics should at least be able to make it back to the NBA Finals with relative ease.

“It reminds me of Golden State when they were winning,” said Mitchell. “Everybody tried to outshoot them, and I’d sit back and laugh. How are you going to outshoot two of the greatest shooters ever?”

“I don’t see anybody in the Eastern Conference that can challenge them. I could see Boston losing two games going through the whole playoffs until they get to the Finals,” he added.

The Boston Celtics just clinched the Eastern Conference’s top seed

After the Atlanta Hawks defeat, the Boston Celtics are now 57-15, the best record in the Eastern Conference – let alone the whole NBA – by a mile. As a result, they will enter the 2023-24 NBA playoffs with homecourt advantage at every single playoff round in the Eastern Conference.

With 10 games to go, the Boston Celtics and their fans probably can’t wait for the playoffs to start. Although they have missed some key players due to injuries, they are still in great form, winning nine of their last 10 games.

The Boston Celtics have used their bench more recently , which has seen the dramatic improvement of Payton Pritchard, Luke Kornet, and Sam Hauser. Those three bench players will play pivotal roles if Boston wins Banner No. 18.
