However, despite this, the Serbian center says that the Denver Nuggets aren’t taking the Los Angeles Lakers lightly.

“It wasn’t easy sweeping them last year,” Jokic said. “And this time, there’s no favorite. It can go both ways.”

The Denver Nuggets finished the regular season as the second seed despite having an identical 57-25 record with the Oklahoma City Thunder due to tiebreakers, with the latter beating the former three times in the regular season.
