Jonathan Davis was playing only his seventh game of the season on Wednesday afternoon when the Milwaukee Brewers took on the Tampa Bay Rays on the road. In just his sixth start, Davis made his submission for catch of the year in the bottom of the second inning.

Though he initially stayed in the contest after being shaken up, the 30-year-old eventually exited in the third frame.
Playing time has recently opened up for Davis after the Brewers designated veteran center fielder Lorenzo Cain for assignment and placed right fielder Hunter Renfroe on the injured list on Sunday.
Davis made his major league debut with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2018 and played 122 games with the club over three-plus seasons before being selected off waivers by the New York Yankees last August. He appeared in 12 games with New York last season and signed with Milwaukee in November 2021.
